Fill is a speculative app I created to critique the amount of dopamine we consume on a daily basis from our phones. The average person interacts with their phone 85 times per day, and our phones activate the reward pathways in our brains similar to the effect that gambling has (you don’t know what you’ll get so you keep coming back. This dependence creates so many problems such as trouble sleeping, increased depression and anxiety, increased aggression, addition and more. This app is meant to call awareness to the fact that we use apps to regulate our dopamine levels in order to feel good all the time. We all need to be aware (myself included) in order to have healthier dopamine intake.
